WALL-E, Brought to Life By the Power of LEGO Mindstorms [Video]
In a crossover oozing with sheer win, Quebec-based LEGO Mindstorms maestro Marc-André Bazergui has created this geekgasm-inducing rendition of everyone’s favorite computer-animated mobile trash compactor robot, WALL-E. Designed specially for LEGO World 2010 — the LEGO aficionado’s equivalent of Comic-Con — the fully-programmable brick creation is actually the fourth generation in a series of WALL-E replicas.
It’s people like this who are keeping the spirit of LEGO alive. The company itself has been pretty unsuccessful with its most recent franchises, reduced to flooding the market with mass movie tie-ins. It’s become the EA Games of children’s toys! My advice: LEGO should hire this guy on the spot.
