In the latest stroke of advertising genius from Japan, phone operator NTT DoCoMo presents its latest Android smartphone – the Samsung Galaxy S – not by espousing its many hi-tech specs, but by enlisting the help of none other than the Sith Lord himself. The commercial, titled “Walk With You”, features various people using the phone in their everyday lives, forever accompanied by a nonchalant Darth Vader: a watchful guardian – a silent protector – the Dark Knight. An absurd premise, but the ad gets its point across. If you’re living in Japan, I’d buy a Galaxy S immediately. Otherwise Lord Vader might use the Death Star and destroy our planet.
