New Stop-Motion Short Imagines Photoshop Tools In Real Life [Video]
The fine folks over at Hyperakt – a creative firm dedicated to “meaningful design for the common good – have just released a cutesy stop-motion short film that imagines what it would be like to have the power of Adobe Photoshop at your fingertips in real life. Created in celebration of Photoshop’s 20th anniversary, “I Have PSD” was conceived and produced over the course of two months. What is PSD, you ask?
Photoshop dexterity (PSD) is a skillset acquired by proficient users of Adobe Photoshop, the world’s most ubiquitous digital tool for creating visual ideas. Qualities of PSD include supernatural powers of imagination and an overwhelming desire to constantly make the world more beautiful. PSD affects people from different walks of life. In fact, there is a high probability that you have PSD.
Over the last 20 years, Photoshop has undeniably established itself as the standard toolkit of all designers. From amateurs coloring their furry fanart for deviantART to professionals working for top firms and consultancies, it’s become irreplaceable in empowering creativity worldwide — and we at 21st Century Boy are part of the PSD constituency. A tip of the hat to Adobe for two decades of great software, and to Hyperakt for making this little tribute. You can also see some behind-the-scenes footage over at Flickr.
