21CB is a fresh, thoughtful voice on the current affairs,
popular culture, and web trends of Asia and the Asian
diaspora. Founded in late 2009, the site has since grown
from a one-man journal into a global blogging project.
We’re here to prove ageists and Luddites wrong. As global citizens and young writers steeped in digital cultures, we write from a vantage point that is in-the-know and up-to-date. A connected world is a step closer to understanding.
We’re facilitators of transnational contact. “The East” is an unfair and reductive term. 21CB hopes to erode the Orientalism that tends to be acceptable in mainstream media.
We need your support. None of us make money from this enterprise. All meager earnings from ads are funneled back into paying for web hosting. We’re writing for you – because we’re curious and want to talk. So please take the time to like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, and comment on our posts!
